Yacht for Charter: Beneteau Oceanis 45 Skylark
Constructed in 2018, Skylark is a dream to sail with twin helm steering, a roller reefing genoa and a new standard mainsail. She is a well-balanced sailing yacht with an impressive blend of performance and comfort, designed for ease of manoeuvring.
The Beneteau Oceanis 45 is a highly regarded, well-balanced cruising yacht designed by Finot-Conq and Nauta Design that seamlessly blends performance with onboard liveability. Featuring a distinctive hard-chine hull for increased form stability and interior volume, it incorporates a signature mainsail arch that clears the cockpit of traveler clutter while allowing for a safer, gentler 45-degree companionway.
Below deck, its bright, configurable layout offers flexible multi-cabin options finished in contemporary light oak, making it a popular choice for both relaxed family cruising and charter fleets. On deck, twin helm stations, an expansive cockpit social area, and an electrically controlled full-width swim platform ensure that handling under its manageable fractional rig is matched by exceptional comfort at anchor.
On Deck
All of the latest instrumentation you would expect is available: GPS, chart plotter, auto-helm and AIS all fitted in addition to wind, speed and depth gauges. The twin helm steering positions are laid out with comfort and practicality in mind and afford good visibility. The ample spray hood ensures protection from the elements.
The sail wardrobe, designed for fast cruising, is made up of a large mainsail with lazy jacks for easy reefing and stowing and a roller headsail. Fitted with a Yanmar 57HP engine this yacht is prepared to get you to your destination with ease. She is equipped with a bow thruster to aid manoeuvres in tighter spaces and an electric windlass which makes anchoring and getting underway nice and easy.
The wide decks and cockpit area ensure that there are plenty of places to sit and relax. The large folding table is perfect for al fresco dining, and outdoor speakers set the ideal mood for entertaining or relaxing on deck. With innovations like a drop-down rear seat that transforms into a bathing platform or an easy access area when moored stern-to. The cockpit area also boasts a hot/cold shower for washing the salt off after a refreshing swim.
Below Deck
Below decks, Skylark’s interior is light and airy. Her 4 cabin layout with 2 heads and huge saloon makes for ample accommodation for up to 10 guests. The galley and main saloon area is spacious with the layout perfectly thought out for entertaining, relaxing or socialising. The leather upholstery and mahogany finish of the interior add an extra touch of class:
