A great yacht for sailing Scotland & Designed for cruising
The Dufour 455 was designed as a capable cruising yacht, combining comfortable accommodation with enjoyable sailing characteristics. And when the Scottish weather turns on its famous variety, there is plenty of space below deck to escape the rain, warm up and relax.
The Dufour 455's generous proportions make her particularly well suited to the longer passages and multi-day adventures that Scotland's West Coast offers. From Largs and the Firth of Clyde towards Arran, Bute, the Kyles of Bute, Loch Fyne and the wider West Coast, she gives you the space and comfort to make the yacht part of the adventure rather than simply somewhere to sleep.
With a cruising speed of approximately 6 knots, she is well suited to relaxed coastal cruising and exploring Scotland's beautiful islands and sheltered anchorages. Whether you're sailing between islands, exploring remote anchorages or enjoying a leisurely afternoon under sail, the Dufour 455 provides a comfortable and capable base for your trip.

Cockpit and steering position
Her substantial size and generous beam provide a stable and comfortable platform, while her twin-wheel steering gives excellent visibility and access around the large cockpit. The twin-wheel arrangement leaves the cockpit open and sociable while giving the helm excellent visibility when sailing. The spacious cockpit is one of the yacht's great features. There is plenty of room for everyone to sit together, enjoy a meal or simply watch the scenery go by.
